Fixing Persistent Drainage Problems
When previous attempts to solve a flooding issue failed, Property Renovation Services was called in to provide a lasting solution. The apartment complex had continued to experience water intrusion after another contractor installed a cheap channel drain system that simply couldn’t handle the volume of runoff (see the first photo). Our team assessed the site and designed a proper drainage plan that addressed both surface and subsurface water flow.
A Lasting Solution That Works
We removed the ineffective drain and installed three 6-inch pipes—one dedicated to roof downspouts, another to box drains, and a third to French drains designed to capture water running off the hillside. The system was engineered to move water efficiently away from the buildings and foundation. After several heavy rains since the installation, the property has remained completely dry—proof that a well-planned drainage system makes all the difference in long-term performance.
